VISTA provides a variety of comprehensive training programs including technical operations training and applications configuration.
Initial User Training
VISTA's training curriculum recognizes the dual goals of teaching generic system operation as well as system use within the specific business environment. Training classes are scheduled after the data conversion has been successfully completed to train new users on data that is pertinent to their business and processes. A rigorous, systematic methodology is offered which covers all areas of the system and the corresponding business processes.
Training for Project Managers
VISTA’s implementation methodology recommends a one- to two-day “Project Kick-off” meeting between the key members of the VISTA and customer project teams. This meeting focuses on a review of the VISTA Implementation Guidelines, project management best practices, project organization, and a review of the specific project plan and timetable. During this meeting, the processes and procedures used to govern and measure the success of the project will be agreed upon.
Training for Systems Administrators and Technical Operators
Key system users are trained in configuring the system through the maintenance of business definition tables, user variables, system security, and screen design features. Training on the day-to-day running of the applications is also provided during the implementation for system managers and operators.
Ongoing Training and Support
Individual company needs for ongoing training depend on a number of factors including company size, staff turnover, evolving business practices and the company’s own policies for user training and development. VISTA often provides customers with an ongoing assessment of problem areas, underutilized or non-utilized aspects of the system and process improvements, in order to suggest the most appropriate level of additional training required.
